Medyna 2017 is now over

The conference has been hosted by the Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros de Sevilla, part of the University of Sevilla (map).

Full proceedings are available through a single pdf file (25 Mb), or by browsing single files from the program page.

The best student communication award has been delivered to Thibaut GRAS for the paper untitled Wave finite elements - finite elements coupling to compute the dynamic response of an heterogeneous railway track.

Conference Objectives

This Euro-Mediterranean conference brings together researchers from the worldwide scientific community, to discuss about the major advances in the field of Vibrations, Acoustics and Vibroacoustics. It addresses both theoretical (analytical and numerical) and experimental methods in these topics by gathering applied mathematicians, mechanicians and acousticians.

Following the 2013 edition, Medyna 2017 will be an opportunity to discuss current issues, to exchange ideas and to present your latest researches in this area, but also a place for exchanges and networking.

Conference topics

This 2nd edition of the Euro-Mediterranean Conference on Structural Dynamics and Vibroacoustics will focus on the following topics :

Damping, dissipation & vibroacoustic control
Nonlinear dynamics
Smart materials & structures
Inverse problems
Reliability, robustness & uncertainties management
Computational techniques and reduced order modeling
Composite & jointed structures
Periodic structures & metamaterials (Special Session: ITN EJD VIPER)
Mid-high frequencies & SHM
Machines, diagnosis and rotordynamics
Civil engineering

See dedicated page for details about mini symposiums organizers.

3 plenary lectures (Sondipon Adhikari - UK, Mohamed Belhaq - MA, José Luis Escalona - SP) and 1 forum session (in the honour of Prof. Mohamed Ali Hamdi, organized by Noureddine Atalla) will be key moments of the conference and the chance to bring together all attendees to share ideas and concepts.
